KOMETA is a vertical pendant light defined by movement, suspension, and linear clarity. Its elongated silhouette evokes a descending trajectory — a quiet reference to celestial motion — translated into a precise architectural object.

The composition pairs a slender matte glass element with a sculptural metal structure crafted in brass or copper. Light travels evenly along the glass, producing a soft, continuous glow that feels both directional and atmospheric. The metal components anchor the piece visually, introducing warmth and contrast while maintaining a refined sense of balance.

KOMETA is designed for spaces with height and rhythm — above dining tables, stairwells, or in grouped installations where repetition enhances its vertical presence. Custom sizes and finishes are available upon request, allowing the piece to adapt to both intimate interiors and large-scale architectural environments.

As a service to our customers, we arrange the shipping of orders via one of our preferred carriers. Shipping cost will be calculated after confirmation of your delivery address. We will email you within 3 days with the quotation for your acceptance. You have the right to withdrawal from the purchase if delivery cost will not meet your expectations.

All charges are proforma and will be included on your order’s final balance.

Two options are available :

White glove service: our shipping partner will unload, unpack, check and install the product in the room of your choice.

Simple service: our shipping partner will unload the product and deliver it in front of the building. If you choose to manage your own freight and delivery, Studio Fenice must be notified of the specific details of the movement. The fee to move the product from a manufacturer to a terminal for “customer’s own” pick-up will be added to the balance due. The location of the pick-up by the client or the client’s agent may trigger sales tax responsibility at that location.

Ownership of the product transfers to the client upon the freight carrier taking possession of the order for transport. Therefore, responsibility for damage occurring in-transit is the owner’s and all claims for freight damage must be made within 72 hours of receipt. If customer selects their own freight carrier, freight claims must be filed directly with the selected carrier. Studio Fenice is not responsible for a customer’s own or third party freight damage and claim.

These pieces are crafted by local artisans and will exhibit natural variations in stone, finish, and detail, as is typical of handmade products. Custom sizes and finishes are available upon request.

The designer

Jan Garncarek combines massive and spherical forms with the ones which are more sublime. He always search for unique language of visual expression. All of Jan Garnacarek’s products are hand crafted. His meticulous crafted objects are strongly influenced by his grandfather traditions for designing small goods. Nowadays this experience still has a strong impact on his way of designing various pieces. He combines the need of modernity with tradition and  it is defining his thinking about contemporary design. His products are made in a nonindustrial way and produced in small series, largely based on artisanal work.
