El Tejido de las Mareas explores landscape as a living and ever-shifting phenomenon. Created through manual textile dyeing techniques using anilines, the work emerges through a process where pigment, water, and fabric enter into quiet negotiation, allowing movement itself to leave a trace. As the dyes dissolve across the textile surface, fluid formations unfold — at once controlled and unpredictable — echoing the invisible rhythms of tides, turbulence, and natural transformation.
Rather than depicting landscape as fixed, Andrea Bores approaches it as something porous and in constant motion. El Tejido de las Mareas invites a slower form of observation, where memory, material, and time converge into an atmospheric composition shaped as much by chance as intention.
A poetic reflection on movement and impermanence, the piece exists between abstraction and the elemental forces that quietly shape the world around us.

As a service to our customers, we arrange the shipping of orders via one of our preferred carriers. Shipping cost will be calculated after confirmation of your delivery address. We will email you within 3 days with the quotation for your acceptance. You have the right to withdrawal from the purchase if delivery cost will not meet your expectations.
All charges are proforma and will be included on your order’s final balance.
Two options are available :
White glove service: our shipping partner will unload, unpack, check and install the product in the room of your choice.
Simple service: our shipping partner will unload the product and deliver it in front of the building. If you choose to manage your own freight and delivery, Studio Fenice must be notified of the specific details of the movement. The fee to move the product from a manufacturer to a terminal for “customer’s own” pick-up will be added to the balance due. The location of the pick-up by the client or the client’s agent may trigger sales tax responsibility at that location.
Ownership of the product transfers to the client upon the freight carrier taking possession of the order for transport. Therefore, responsibility for damage occurring in-transit is the owner’s and all claims for freight damage must be made within 72 hours of receipt. If customer selects their own freight carrier, freight claims must be filed directly with the selected carrier. Studio Fenice is not responsible for a customer’s own or third party freight damage and claim.
El Tejido de las Mareas is a one-of-a-kind work.
Due to the inherently organic nature of Andrea Bores’ process, where pigment, water, and textile interact through controlled unpredictability, no two compositions can ever be replicated.
This singularity forms an essential part of the piece, carrying the quiet traces of gesture, material transformation, and time.

The designer
Born in Mexico and based in Mexico City, Andrea Bores explores the shifting structures of landscape through a practice rooted in material experimentation.
Working across textile, pigment, fiber, ink, and natural processes, her work reflects an ongoing dialogue between matter, time, and transformation. Rather than depicting landscape as fixed, Bores approaches it as a living system — unstable, fluid, and in constant motion — where chance, gesture, and the memory of materials shape poetic and atmospheric compositions.
Her work has been exhibited internationally and includes residencies at Casa Wabi and Casa Nano
