Created using indigo and charcoal, Gathering Storm II unfolds as an exploration of landscape in motion — shifting, unstable, and shaped by forces both visible and unseen. Through a process of layering, diffusion, and material interaction, Andrea Bores allows pigment to gather and disperse organically across the surface, creating compositions that feel at once elemental and atmospheric.
Rather than illustrating a specific place, the work evokes the sensation of landscape itself: distant horizons, geological formations, turbulent skies, and the quiet tension before transformation. Indigo and charcoal emerge not simply as mediums, but as active presences whose textures and movements shape an abstract topography suspended between memory, matter, and change.
Gathering Storm II invites a slower encounter with the natural world — one understood not as static, but in perpetual becoming.

As a service to our customers, we arrange the shipping of orders via one of our preferred carriers. Shipping cost will be calculated after confirmation of your delivery address. We will email you within 3 days with the quotation for your acceptance. You have the right to withdrawal from the purchase if delivery cost will not meet your expectations.
All charges are proforma and will be included on your order’s final balance.
Two options are available :
White glove service: our shipping partner will unload, unpack, check and install the product in the room of your choice.
Simple service: our shipping partner will unload the product and deliver it in front of the building. If you choose to manage your own freight and delivery, Studio Fenice must be notified of the specific details of the movement. The fee to move the product from a manufacturer to a terminal for “customer’s own” pick-up will be added to the balance due. The location of the pick-up by the client or the client’s agent may trigger sales tax responsibility at that location.
Ownership of the product transfers to the client upon the freight carrier taking possession of the order for transport. Therefore, responsibility for damage occurring in-transit is the owner’s and all claims for freight damage must be made within 72 hours of receipt. If customer selects their own freight carrier, freight claims must be filed directly with the selected carrier. Studio Fenice is not responsible for a customer’s own or third party freight damage and claim.
Gathering Storm II is a one-of-a-kind work.
Created through an inherently organic process using indigo and charcoal, each gesture, texture, and material interaction unfolds uniquely, making replication impossible.
Its singular composition carries the quiet traces of movement, transformation, and the living unpredictability of the materials themselves.

The designer
Born in Mexico and based in Mexico City, Andrea Bores explores the shifting structures of landscape through a practice rooted in material experimentation.
Working across textile, pigment, fiber, ink, and natural processes, her work reflects an ongoing dialogue between matter, time, and transformation. Rather than depicting landscape as fixed, Bores approaches it as a living system — unstable, fluid, and in constant motion — where chance, gesture, and the memory of materials shape poetic and atmospheric compositions.
Her work has been exhibited internationally and includes residencies at Casa Wabi and Casa Nano
