Stepping over the threshold, I was greeted by the embracing warmth of Eva and Hesed, the enlightened duo orchestrating this haven of holistic wellness.

“Welcome,” Eva beamed, her eyes aglow with a palpable warmth. “We’re thrilled to have you here.”

Hesed, nodding in concurrence, exuded a serene sagacity, a testament to years of profound introspection and spiritual odyssey. “Please, make yourself at home,” he urged, gesturing towards a cozy alcove perched atop their retreat, commanding a panoramic vista of the Pacific Ocean’s cerulean vastness.

As we settled into the embrace of our surroundings, I found myself captivated by the narrative that had brought Eva and Hesed to this juncture. “Tell me,” I inquired, keen to unravel their tale, “how did Aureo come to be?”

Eva’s eyes ignited with fervour as she commenced their saga. “It began with a shared vision,” she recounted. “A dream of fashioning a sanctuary where individuals could rediscover themselves and commune with nature, a realm where healing and metamorphosis could unfurl organically.”

“We wanted to combine our knowledge and expertise to offer a holistic approach to wellness-one that nourishes the mind, body, and spirit.” Added Hesed.

Their journey had traversed diverse terrains, from the mystical realms of India to the sun-drenched shores of Baja Sur. “It was in India that we truly unearthed the potency of holistic healing,” Eva divulged. “I had travelled from Argentina, where I had been a national champion gymnast for the Argentine Olympic team. And after my career as a high-endurance athlete ended, I began exploring other somatic and spiritual areas.”

Hesed’s voyage embarked from Mexico, where his upbringing steeped in yoga and meditation instilled a profound reverence for the spiritual trajectory. “I pursued marine biology in Baja California Sur, lured by the ocean’s allure and the enigmas of the natural world,” he elucidated. “However, it was in India that I delved into the ancient arts of Ayurvedic massage, deepened my Reiki practice, and attended in multiple Vipassana meditation retreats. It was a transformative odyssey – one that set me on a path of self-discovery and healing.”

Their studies in India had been a revelation, opening their eyes to new possibilities and recalibrating their essence. “We immersed ourselves in the teachings of yoga, meditation, and sound therapy,” Eva continued. “And when we returned to Baja Sur, we knew that we wanted to share these practices with others-to create a space where people could find peace, balance, and healing.”

“In September 2020, amidst the challenges of the pandemic, Aureo was conceived,” Hesed elucidated. “It was a labour of love-a testament to our shared vision of creating a space of balance, harmony, and healing.”

Their vision for Aureo extended beyond just a physical space; it was an oasis where seekers embarked on profound journeys of self-discovery and empowerment. “We envisaged Aureo as a sanctuary-a refuge where individuals could convalesce, connect, and unearth their inner resilience,” Eva intoned softly.

Their ambitions for Aureo are ambitious yet rooted in their commitment to holistic wellness. “We envision an expansion of our offerings to encompass workshops, retreats, and bespoke programs tailored to individual exigencies,” Hesed explained. “We aspire to foster a community where people can come together to learn, grow, and support one another on their paths to wellness.”

As for sustaining their creative wellspring, Eva and Hesed extolled the virtues of grounding themselves in personal practices and passions. “We dedicate time to daily rituals that nurture our spirits-be it yoga, meditation, or communing with nature,” Eva divulged. “These rituals not only tether us to the earth but also serve as catalysts for novel ideas and innovations in our work.” “Additionally, our peripatetic escapades kindle our imagination, exposing us to diverse cultures and traditions,” Hesed appended. “By traversing novel terrains, relishing exotic cuisines, and forging connections with diverse souls, we invigorate our creativity and infuse our work with vitality and dynamism.”

During our interlude together, Eva and Hesed graciously extended an invitation to accompany them to one of their cherished locales along the Baja Sur coast-Playa Las Palmas.
